Having lived in Toronto, Canada for most of our lives, we both have ancestral roots in Africa, India and Pakistan. Our marriages led us to discovering the rich heritage of the Middle East, which is the inspiration behind starting Oura Scents.

The Middle East is known for creating incredible, long-lasting Arabian aromas using natural ingredients. When you walk into any mall or souk, the first scent to hit you is that of bakhoor. When a local (to the country) walks by, you instantly get a whiff of their enchanting perfume (attar). The scents can be light, intoxicating, floral, musky, deep – the options are endless.
