
The SUV transforms into a gold-plated jail from which Eddie is unable to escape, turning his fantasy of being wealthy quickly into a complete nightmare. Eddie recognized the car is soundproof and difficult to see inside after making futile attempts to attract onlookers’ attention. His future is now in the hands of William (Anthony Hopkins), the wealthy SUV owner who has set a trap as a kind of perverse vigilante justice because he is tired of people breaking into his vehicle. The issue is that William’s thirst for vengeance becomes needlessly harsh, and any sense of a figurative class struggle is lost because the penalty greatly surpasses the offense.
